This job is responsible for maintaining knowledgeable in all end-user systems and applications relative to the Revenue Cycle for the purpose of new course creation and course revisions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing training and education to small and large scale Revenue Cycle staff and occasional external teams and venders, maintaining training class registration, attendance, and scores in Ochsner Learning Network (OLN), and creating courses in OLN for registration purposes as well as online courses. Additionally responsible for providing feedback to department leaders regarding employee training class performance, updating training documentation as needed and assisting with hospital and clinic system migrations. This job will identify future training opportunities through class performance and feedback, site observations, and leadership response.
Education
Required - Associates degree; High School diploma or equivalent and additional degrees, business training, experience, and/or certifications may be combined to meet minimum qualifications.
Preferred - Bachelor's degree in education, technology, or related field required.
Work Experience
Required - 2 years of experience delivering training or curriculum development.
Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of required job information.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout required job processes.
Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, keyboard, and various software packages specific to role.
Skills and ability to work collaboratively with various levels of leadership and general employee staff.
Strong and positive interpersonal skills; ability to effectively and professionally work with people from all backgrounds.
Strong critical thinking, time management, organizational and prioritization skills.
Strong presentation skills with the ability to present with many different audience levels.
Strong planning, organizing, judgment and decision making abilities.
Ability to maintain professional behavior and teamwork to insure the success of the revenue cycle initiatives.
Reliable transportation as travel throughout system is required.
Job Duties
Participates in and leads classroom instruction for at 1-5 unique courses offered in the Ochsner Revenue Cycle Course Catalog .
Develops curriculum for new and existing courses and provides organizational direction for online-files on training drive.
Identifies edits and/or updates for documentation revision through proofing, feedback, observations and meetings
