Let CTA be your pilot to all the summer fun starting this weekend. In addition to the annual summer festivals and parades, let’s not forget CTA is the best way to get to the two large stadium shows as Metallica rocks Soldier Field and Green Day takes over Wrigley Field.

Bud Billiken Parade
Washington Park (King Drive from 39th to 55th) – Sat. 8/10 at 10 a.m.
Service:
- Rail: The Green Line provides the closest access to the parade. Customers can exit at Indiana, 43rd, 47th, 51st, and Garfield stations.
- Bus: Several CTA bus routes serve the parade area, including:
- #3 King Drive
- #4 Cottage Grove
- #15 Jeffery Local
- #43 43rd
- #47 47th
- #55 Garfield

Air and Water Show
North Avenue Beach – Sat. 8/10 and Sun. 8/11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Rail: The Red and Brown Lines provide the closest access to the event area. Customers can exit at North/Clybourn station on the Red Line and the Sedgwick station for the Brown Line.
- Bus: The #72 North Avenue and the #151 Sheridan routes provide service to the event.

Wrigley Field
- Green Day – Tue. 8/13 at 5:30 p.m.
Service:
- Red Line: The Addison station is located just a half block east of Wrigley Field.
- Purple Line (New!): Before weeknight games only, Loop-bound Purple Line Express trains will stop at the Addison station.
- Yellow Line: Take the Yellow Line and transfer at Howard to the Red Line; continue to Addison station. To accommodate fans returning home, the Yellow Line will run for an hour later from Howard – until midnight – for all night games at Wrigley Field.
- #152 Addison: The #152 route will provide additional service on Cubs game days, with more frequent service two hours before and one hour after all games.
- #80 Irving Park: The #80 route will provide additional service before the games, timed to meet the inbound UP-NW Metra trains at Irving Park.
- Adjacent bus routes: Several CTA bus routes serve the Wrigley Field area, including:

Guaranteed Rate Field
- Crosstown Classic: Chicago Cubs vs. White Sox – Fri. 8/9 at 7:10 p.m., Sat. 8/19 at 6:15 p.m.
- New York Yankees vs. Chicago White Sox – Mon. 8/12, Tue. 8/13 and Wed. 8/14 at 7:10 p.m.
Service:
- Red Line: Guaranteed Rate Field is just one block west of the Sox-35th station.
- Green Line: The 35th-Bronzeville-IIT station is just three blocks east of the ballpark.
- #35 31st/35th: The #35 route (which connects with Orange and Green lines) is the main bus route providing service to the stadium and operates during all game times.
- Adjacent bus routes: Several CTA bus routes serve the ballpark area, including:
- #1 Bronzeville/Union Station (during Monday – Friday rush periods only)
- #4 Cottage Grove
- #24 Wentworth
- #29 State (which runs Monday – Friday to 8:30 p.m.)
- #31 31st (which runs Monday – Friday to 7 p.m.)
- #39 Pershing (which connects with Orange and Green lines)
- #44 Wallace/Racine
Summer Service to Navy Pier and Museums
The following routes are currently running a summer service schedule through Labor Day:
- :Service between Michigan/Chestnut and the Griffin Museum of Science & Industry will operate daily.
- #124 Navy Pier:Service will be extended by 90 minutes in the evening daily. Eastbound service from Union/Ogilvie stations will run until 11:30pm. Westbound service from Navy Pier will run until midnight.
- #130 Museum Campus:Service between Union/Ogilvie stations and Museum Campus/Planetarium will operate daily.
Service to the Lakefront:
Now through mid-August, beach service will operate directly to the lakefront and its beaches on the following bus routes on both the Weekdays and Weekends. Buses will begin their trips to these beaches between approximately 9 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.
