BIOGRAPHY
After my education in Health Sciences at the University of Maastricht, I left for Australia in 1995 to do research in the field of skin cancer. Then in 1997, America came my way to continue my research in the field of cancer and hormone balance at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.
However, over the years my interest has shifted to Traditional Chinese Medicine because of its holistic approach to health and balance.
This led me to study Chinese Medicine (including acupuncture and herbal medicine) at Yo San University and Atlantic University of Chinese Medicine (both located in the United States of America).
After graduatingCum Laude Icontinued my practice in Asheville, North Carolina. During this period I also taught as a faculty member at several universities in the United States including Yo San University, Emperors College (both in Los Angeles, CA), Atlantic University of Chinese Medicine, and Daoist Traditions University (both in Asheville, NC).
My wife and I decided to return to the Netherlands with our family in early 2010 to continue my passion for helping people and promoting this healing method. With25 years of experience I can truly say this medicine is very dear to my heart!
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to assist you.

Fu and WuXing - what's in a logo
Our logo includes the letters of our practice (CMCM).
The symbol "Fu" (see image next to it) was used as a basis for this.
It is one of the most fortunate characters in Chinese culture.
The symbol has 5 parts, the 5 "Fu": "longevity", "wealth and honor", "good health and peace", "kindness and virtue" and a "good ending".
The number 5 also corresponds to the 5 Elements often used in Chinese medicine, the "Wu Xing": Fire, Earth, Metal, Water and Wood.
It is therefore the aim of the Chinese Medical Center Maastricht to create a balance within the "Wu Xing" of our clients.
